Controversies
Robbed by EzekielGamingHD
In 2014, W2S made a FIFA coin website with a Youtuber called EzekielGamingHD. In 2017, during Harry's reaction to KSI's diss track "Two Birds One Stone," he claimed that Ezekiel took around £100,000 from him and used it to purchase a Nissan GT-R. Following the diss track, EzekielGamingHD released a video explaining that he bought the car with his own money. However, several YouTubers, including JMX, Fangs, Calfreezy, AnEsonGib, and TheBurntChip, confirmed that Ezekiel had indeed kept the money from the coins and used it to buy the Nissan GT-R. Ezekiel later deleted the video and appeared to have left YouTube.
2015 Twitter Hack
On April 19, 2015, W2S, KSI, and Miniminter had their Twitter accounts hacked by an individual named "BudyBear," who has since been suspended. The hacker gained access to their phone books and photo albums, which were later used against them.
The suspicious activity began when W2S and Miniminter instructed their Twitter fans to leave offensive comments about fellow YouTubers Bashurverse during his live Twitch stream. The hacker pretended to be W2S and Miniminter , encouraging their fans to call Bashur a pedo and accuse him of pedophilia. Some users noticed a subtle hint that something was off—the difference in spelling between "pedophilia" and "paedophilia." Sadly, the users followed the instructions and called Bashur a "pedo."
During the hacking, Harry was particularly targeted. Alongside the "pedo" comments, an image of his testicles was uploaded to Twitter. In a later Sidemen Sunday video, it was revealed that Harry had originally taken and sent the photo as a joke to the Sidemen group chat, which the hacker gained access to. The image was shared with the caption "ITS BATHTIME BOYS," referencing one of Harry's videos.
Surprisingly, Harry doesn't seem embarrassed or bothered by the fact that the image of his testicles is now on the internet. He even laughs along whenever it is brought up.
Sidemen Diss Track Season
During the same period when Deji and Simon were embroiled in drama, Harry released a diss track on August 8 titled KSI Sucks. The three-minute video garnered over 64 million views and was widely regarded as one of the standout diss tracks. Harry primarily focused on KSI and his family in the song.
While the diss tracks exchanged by other group members were meant to be light-hearted, the conflict between W2S and KSI escalated more than initially anticipated. However, it eventually came to an end when KSI declared that he would no longer create diss tracks targeting W2S in his final track.
Offensive Tweets Controversy
On August 25, 2020, hashtags such as #wroetoracist and #wroetoshawisoverparty emerged on Twitter, trending as users delved into Harry's past tweets from 4-6 years ago. These tweets contained offensive jokes that were potentially regrettable. People on Twitter attempted to "cancel" him, with some K-Pop fans and Sidemen fan accounts joining in. Harry has not yet responded to this backlash, and the drama has since subsided.
Established Titles
In November 2022, one of the sponsors featured in W2S videos, Established Titles, was revealed to be a scam. The advertisements promoted the idea that customers could purchase a plot of land in Scotland and become titled as Lairds or Ladies based on a Scottish land ownership tradition. However, YouTuber Scott Shafer exposed the scam in a video, explaining that Established Titles actually sells "souvenir plots" and the owners do not legally own the land under Scottish law. The company also cannot grant any official titles. As of now, W2S has not responded to the sponsorship scam, and the video exposing the scam remains online.
